About Us

Designing a cooler world since 2015

Jökulá was founded in July 2015 when the founders Sigtryggur and Björgvin rented a small office space on Suðurlandsbraut. Today we are a large group of designers and geniuses who play willball and design prize websites in between.

User-driven

Everything we do is created with the user in mind. Our decisions are based on the user's needs and how we can optimize their experience.

Effective

We set goals for our projects and measure their success according to them. Everything we do has to be aimed at achieving those goals and results.

Unique

What we craft is not meant to get lost in the noise, but cut through it. We do this by creating images, experiences and designs that are unique, clear and memorable.

Vörður is one of the largest insurance companies in Iceland. They are innovative when it comes to digital insurance products. We've designed every digital product they've got.

Nova is the largest entertainment venue in the world. They have never let anything stop them from developing new solutions and products. We have had and have a good relationship with Nova. We are involved in most digital designs within Nova.

Elko is the largest electronics store in Iceland. Elko has several stores all over the country and we designed their new online store along with collaborating on many projects on a day to day basis.

Advania is a leader in information technology in the Nordic countries. Advania is one of our biggest partners in work integration. We have worked with Advania in digital development for both their customers and themselves.

Sjúkratryggingar are the national Health insurance company of Iceland. We participated in rebranding, developed illustrations and user experience research.

Samtök atvinnulífisins is The association of Icelandic Employers, an association of the Icelandic business sector with six member organisations based on different industries. We have had a long and fruitful relationship for half a decade filled with event branding, content creation, rebranding and web design.

Samorka is an association of energy and utility companies in Iceland. We have worked with Samorka almost since the founding of Jökulár and we have worked on rebranding, digital products, website and more.

Byko is a leading store in the sale of construction products and tools. We have been able to assist them in all the design of the digital journey they are on.
